Franz Kaiser obtained his bachelor’s degree in physics in 2015 at the University of Göttingen in the field of conformal quantum field theories. After one year of studies at Lund University in Sweden, he returned to Göttingen to continue his studies as a master’s student with special focus on the physics of complex systems and biophysics. He joined our group in July 2016 working on the self-organisation of nuclei in early Drosophila embryos. In April 2017, he started his master’s thesis in our group working on phase balancing in the Kuramoto model with application to networks formed by Physarum polycephalum.
